Passionate about healthy, happy pets

Jamie Crittall - Director

I followed in my father’s footsteps, qualifying from Bristol Vet School in 1993, first working in practices in London and Surrey before enjoying a three plus year sabbatical working in television – firstly, as a specialist researcher, then a TV Vet and latterly as co-presenter of two Pet Rescue spin off series, Pet Rescuers and Pet Rescue Roadshow.  I returned to the veterinary profession in 1998 to join my father and godfather, finally taking over the family business in 2005. Now celebrating its 141st year, I feel immensely proud of its heritage and am delighted to be able to carry it forward for future generations.

The majority of my time is spent overseeing the smooth running of the four Beech House practices to ensure the high standard of veterinary and client care is maintained, while also supporting the clinical staff on occasions.  At other times, my glamorous side sees me working on film sets, ensuring the welfare of animals used in television production.

I’m often described as being fun, outgoing and passionate about everything I do. Charlotte and I have three young children and share our hectic home with three cats - which I am unashamedly mad about - a Black Lab, two pugs and two chickens. I can be commonly found hairing about the Surrey Hills on my mountain bike.
